SKIN CARE TIPS FOR WINTER

Lifestyle 06/07/2025

Let me share some skin care tips for winter with you.
The skin is especially fragile in winter. With the dryness in the air, rashes, itching, peeling skin, and roughness are common problems. To combat these, one must devote a few minutes everyday to a constant skincare regimen.

Add a few drops of oil (rosemary, olive, etc) to your bathwater for a fresh feel. Bathe in lukewarm water, as very hot water will dry the skin, leaving it rough. Always, always, moisturize after a bath! Do not dry your hair or skin vigorously- always pat dry. After your bath, comb your hair out with your fingers, as rough combing can pull out hair by its roots.

Use lip balm for dry or chapped lips. Those who put on lipstick should ideally coat their lips with lip balm first, then apply the lipstick. Guys need to remember to use after-shave lotion after shaving, to prevent dryness of the face.

In winter, dead skin cells tend to accumulate on the face. Using a pack with granules is a good idea. Gently scrub your face to get rid of dead cells. Try to avoid using soap, as it dries the skin thoroughly. Use a glycerine-based soap, even medicated soaps are good. Always use facewash to cleanse your face at night.

As for summer, drink lots of water in winter too. Fruits are always essential. Consume seasonal foods, as they are cheaper and nutritious. Take lots of exercise for the special glow in your skin too!

Hope these skin care tips for winter would prove helpful.
