Indian Fashion, today is going through a period of transformation. With the globalization bug biting the fashion industry, the designers are all trying to make it big in the West. One of the main reasons for this emergence of fashion is the influence of hindi movies on it. Bollywood and the Indian Fashion industry have always gone hand in hand and the popularity of Indian fashion among today’s youth and abroad is because of hindi movies.

Indian Fashion today is more about portraying of the gorgeous heritage it has through its designs

With the emergence of the mall culture, many brands and private labels are being launched in the Indian market as a result the Indian youth is being influenced to this new form of fashion. These malls have enabled bigger Indian brands to sell among people. India has a different relation with hindi cinema. Indians in general love idolizing as a result, everyone wants to wear a similar shirt that Sharukh Khan has worn in Chak De India. This has led to the emergence of the fashion industry. With the income of people growing like it has never done before, people in the mid twenties and early thirties are the ones who have been mostly influenced by hindi cinema.

Hindi cinema has also ensured that people living abroad are also influenced by Indian fashion. To promote Indian fashion, today we find the entire of Bollywood trying to globalize itself and cater to a larder world audience. As a reason, a lot of our actresses and models have become International faces, and they are seen making appearances in press conferences and premieres in Indian outfits very often.
