How easy is Modelling!!!

Bollywood 12/09/2008

The glam world is full of bright colors that sell dreams and hopes. But every aspect has a flip side and once these hues fail to color our lives, what is left behind is the stark darkness of DEATH.

For decades, hot-bods ad sexy sirens have sizzled the ramp. Be it Rita Faria, Zeenat Aman, Persis Khambata, Madhu Sapre, Sushmita Sen, Celina Jaitley, Lara Duta or Priyanka Chaopra, all these ladies have taken us by awe. They have invaded this territory with confidence and without a godfather, and grown from a nascent stage to become stalwarts of the fashion industry. But what lies hidden from us is the amount of stress and toil that lies behind the gloss and candyfloss.

Every day hundreds of aspiring models are getting ready to make it big in life. But they are unaware of the fact that this is a place of no return. The moment you look back, you make yourself ready to join the brigade that laments the names of Nafeesa Joesph, Divya Bharati and Jessica Lal. They met a sad end either being unable to cope the work pressure, competition or by falling prey to nasty rackets. The recent incident that saw one time super model Gitanjali Nagpal begging for money on the Delhi streets after being dumped by her British boyfriend, leaves no space to doubt the deadening effect one can have if faced by failure.

So if you think modeling is your cup of tea, be prepared for all the odds coming your way.
