ANAMIKA KHANNA – Indian Fashion Designer

Lifestyle 12/10/2025

Anamika Khanna, the recipient of the Kingfisher Award for the Fashion Designer, started designing without any formal training in the craft. The Damania Fashion Award jump-started her career and brought her into the limelight. Her creative versatility and her sheer hard work have kept her there. she also bagged the Texcellence Award for Outstanding Boutique (Female).

The work of ANAMIKA KHANNA comprises two lines – Prêt and Couture; whereas with color and craft as her forte, trousseau wear is naturally her area of specialisation. She subscribes to a look that is global with a hint of ethnic Indian craft. She gives the word ‘trendy’ a new definition and her spacious store in Kolkata almost stands out as a landmark, redefining fashion retailing, exuding a sense of whimsical style yet serenity at the same time.

Anamika Khanna also retails through Carma (New Delhi), Ogaan (New Delhi and Kolkata), Ensemble (Mumbai and New Delhi), Espee (Kolkata), and other prominent stores across the country. She was nominated at the MTV Youth Icon Awards 2003 as the Breakthrough Designer of the Year, at the MTV Lycra Style Awards 2004 as the Designer of the Year, and has brought fashion to each and every one of us.

A regular participant in fashion shows, her look is classy yet subtle, creative yet traditional, stylish yet comfortable. Yes, style never got as good as this! Thats ANAMIKA KHANNA !
