This television series was based on doctors and Clooney played Dr. Doughlas ‘Doug’ Ross who was Anthony Edwards’s, a character of the series, best friend. He was named ‘Messenger of peace’ by the United Nations on January 31, 2008.

He was the producer of the film ‘Syraina’ for which he won the Academy Awards in the best supporting actor category. The ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ which was released in the year 2002 was directed by George Clooney himself.
