The fact that premieres of Indian films in Hollywood territory are attended by Indian film people and film stars of foreign nationalities in clothes designed and made by Indian designers speak volumes about the distance Indian fashion has come today.
Indian designers have not only made their mark off-screen alone. Many films in Hollywood have had the clothing and dresses stitched and designed by Indian designers and associates. Such has been the popularity of the Indian designers that fashion events and fashion extravaganzas invite and let showcase respective talents by Indian designers on foreign soil. Also channels like ftv and others have specially categorized programs dedicated to the Indian designers present in the scenario today. All this would not have been possible has Hollywood not been conquered by the Indian designers foremost.
