No kissing scenes please: Salman

Bollywood 07/11/2007

Willard Carroll, the director of Marigold, had a huge dilemma while casting the lead opposite Salman Khan. The reason was that Salman had completely left the choice of short listing the lead opposite him to Willard. He finally met Ali Larter and chose her as Sallu bhai’s heroine after many rounds of short listing with other heroines.

However, a source tells us that Salman Khan told Willard, “No kissing scenes, please!” when he signed Marigold. When we caught up with Willard recently, he confirmed the news, “That’s right. Out there in the West, it’s different, but the culture in India is different, and I respect it. Salman came and told me, ‘what face will I show my father?’ Now, who can argue with that?”

Well, it may have left Ali Larter somewhat depressed, but we are sure Katrina Kaif is a happy lady because of this.
