One of the most famous and most talented fashion designers in India is the man named Manish Malhotra. He has been the pillar of the Indian fashion industry since his inception to the fashion scene in India.

He has designed costumes for multiple successful Bollywood films, and has also designed clothing for several leading ladies from Bollywood. His most talked about stint at designing costumes for Bollywood was for Urmila Mantondkar in the film Rangeela.

He has had designing offers from the legends such as Shahrukh Khan and Michael Jackson. Even though he is a fashion designer for women, the above-mentioned fact lays testimony to his talent. He has designed for films like Raja Hindustani, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dhadkan etc.

He has also trained several budding talents under his tutelage, such as Surily Goel, who featured in the Lakme Fashion Week 2006.

He has also dabbled in anchoring as he hosted his own talk show called The Manish Malhotra Show. His collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2006 was applauded as an all-white apparel series inspired by Sufism! He also wants to direct his first Bollywood film with Sri Krishna International.

Manish Malhotra has also won several prizes and has been felicitated by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in India. His collection and fashion style has been applauded worldwide. He has won critical acclaim for designing traditional masterpieces for actresses such as Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
Overall, he has been an asset to the Indian as well as International fashion industry per se.
