I am 64, but I still carry the same passion of yesteryears, in as far as the performing arts are concerned, hence I still consider myself in the prime of life! Whilst at school and Delhi University, I have won various awards in intra-school and inter-college one-act play competitions. I have also acted in full length plays by Rabindranath Tagore, Vijay Tendulkar and Badal Sarkar, even directing the last one. Having worked overseas, I have also had the good fortune and privilege to act in plays under the auspices of our Indian High Commissions, to raise funds for local and social issues.
I write poetry and compose tunes as well, and have two such published books to my credit, written under my pen-name Rabbali ‘Ihaka’ viz. Kaifiyatnama, consisting of 21 compositions in different genres; and Mohabbatnama, consisting of 51+ compositions on the pristine emotion of love in its various motions/facets!
Though, I am Delhi based; I have no issues with travelling as and when required, to other locations.
