Rahul bose
Subhash K Jha: Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s debut film “Anuranan” was released nearly a year ago.
To everyone’s surprise, including the leading man Rahul Bose, the film is now being released in Hindi this Friday. Though the director seems pretty pleased with his regional film going national, the actor is intrigued. Since actors are people who adorn various characters on screen, it’s not essential that they do the same off screen. But here’s an actor who chooses to do it all, yet stay somewhat off the limelight. A fine actor, if we may say so, Rahul Bose does not make his appearance in more than three films a year and sometimes only a single film. What makes it even more difficult to keep track of the actor is that fact that he also acts in Bengali as well as English cinema, might we say art and serious films, which doesn’t really make him a mainstream hero, but this doesn’t undermine his fine acting skills.
Apart from honing brilliant acting abilities the actor has led the Indian National “Orange Indian Rugby Team” and played on an international level. He’s also been a boxing champion in his young days. Of late he has busied himself with script writing and does a fair bit regarding social service for a man of his standing. He is honestly active in regards to social service rather than be dormant or simply highlighted at events. The actor played the lead in this years release ‘Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii, ‘ a film intended for the young audience, in fact the one of the only ones of its category this year, or lets say in a long time. The Japanese Wife is his latest fill all set to release next year.
