Ritu Beri is an Indian fashion designer who has been the cynosure of the world’s glamour and fashion industry for quite a long time now. She is also an award-winning author and a patron of charity organizations. Ritu Beri also serves in the Board of Governors for NIFT, which is one of the most famous and established schools of fashion design in India.

Ritu Beri graduated with fashion arts in the late 80’s from NIFT, New Delhi. And after her entry into the Indian fashion designing scenario with her studio ‘Lavanya’, there was no looking back. She is probably India’s most famous and acclaimed and most popular fashion designer in the world today. She is the only Indian designer to feature in the acclaimed magazine Acustyl and the first to present a show in Paris. Her institutional customers range from the Hotel Hyatt Regency, Delhi Police Band, Delhi Mounted Police, and Indian Olympic Association etc. her work in Indian fashion has helped her many awards including the coveted ‘Creative Woman of the Year’ Award in 1996.

She is the epitome of a beauty with brains. She has written many books of which ‘How to Look Your Best’ has also win an award. The immense talent of this leading lady in Indian fashion designing has won her many accolades, both national as well as worldwide. The tirade of Indian designers in the fashion industry today looks up to Ritu Beri as an icon and idol. She has been one of the stars among Indian designers, with the world media acknowledging her prowess and masterpieces in the world of fashion design.
