Tashan has good music!

Bollywood 12/06/2008

The soundtrack of “Tashan” does not fall under any common genre. It is completely different from anything we have heard in hindi film music. With the essence of the interiors of north India thrown together with rock’n’role is something, which is unparalled. The music of this Vijay Krishna Acharya film is full of fun. Vishal Dadlani of Vishal-Shekhar is the creator of the lyrics, which is awesome and entertaining with a diversion. Vishal , the person who wrote sensitive lyrics like “Allah ke bande”, and romantic songs like “Aankhon mein teri” has written the lyrics of the song “Dil dance mare” of this film “Tashan” which is potential enough to make its place among the chartbusters. Vishal is basically not a lyricist. He is a part of the coolest rock band in the country, Pentagram and he is also the part of the most successful music director duo in Bollywood. To do diametrically opposite things is the main characteristic of this music director, who wants to go, out of the general track .To carter to the mad and unique situation in this film, the song “Dil dance mare” makes a lot more story sense when it is linked with the film. In this Yash Raj banner film’s music there is a strong return to rock’n’roll and edgy music with hard beats building a whole crazy environment for the film. The twists and turns of the romantic songs of this film helps in portraying love on screen in a new way. This film has even got Udit Narayan singing two very important songs – “Dil dance mare” and “Falak tak”. Vishal-Shekhar’s music is all about great hook lines with good melody, which really helps in keeping the popularity of the songs for long. So we can easily say that the music of “Tashan” is going to be the next big hit on screen.
